* Registration:
You must be registered to vote at your current address at least 15 days prior to an election in order to vote in that election. However, once you are registered, you will remain on the rolls and be eligible to vote in all future elections until you move or otherwise become ineligible.
Oct. 28, 2008 is the last day that the Registrar of Voters will accept requests for “absentee ballots.” You can order an “absentee ballot” by using the application on the back of your “sample ballot”, which will be mailed to you if you are registered at your present address, or by contacting your County Registrar of Voters directly. Completed “absentee ballots” must be received at your county’s Registrar of Voters office or delivered to a polling place by 8:00 pm on Election day, November 4th. If you return your “absentee ballot” by mail, you should mail it far enough in advance to ensure its timely arrival.
